Welcome to Painted Treasures. By booking a session, purchasing a service, or using this website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing a booking.
1. Services Provided
Painted Treasures (“we”, “us”, “our”) offers mobile pottery-painting sessions in the Customer’s home or selected venue. Services include:
Pottery pieces (bisque)
Paint materials and tools
On-site hosting
Kiln firing
Return of finished pieces to one drop-off location
All services are subject to availability on your requested date.
2. Payment & Pricing
All prices listed on our website are in Canadian Dollars (CAD).
Payment Terms
A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking.
Remaining balance is due on the day of the session unless otherwise specified.
Accepted payment methods: e-transfer, cash, or payment link (where offered).
Additional Fees
Extra painters: as listed per service category.
Travel beyond 30 km from downtown Edmonton Alberta may incur additional travel fees.
3. Cancellations & Rescheduling
To cancel or reschedule your session:
Customer-initiated changes
More than 48 hours’ notice: Deposit may be transferred to a new date.
Less than 48 hours’ notice: Deposit becomes non-refundable.
Painted Treasures cancellations
If we must cancel due to illness, weather, or unforeseen circumstances:
You may select a new date, or
We will refund your deposit in full.
We are not liable for any additional costs resulting from a cancellation.
4. Firing, Breakage & Handmade Variations
Pottery firing is a delicate process and outcomes may vary.
By booking, you acknowledge that:
Bisque pieces may crack, chip, or break during firing. This is a normal risk of ceramic production.
Colours may change slightly after kiln firing.
We take great care but cannot guarantee the survival of every piece.
Liability for breakage
If an item breaks due to normal kiln behaviour, Painted Treasures is not liable for replacement.
If breakage occurs due to clear negligence on our part, we may refund or replace the piece at our discretion.
5. Customer Responsibilities
During the session:
Provide a safe, clean workspace large enough for the number of painters.
Ensure adult supervision for any participating children.
Ensure pets, unsupervised minors, and hazards are kept away from the workspace.
After the session:
We will return finished pottery to one drop-off location only unless otherwise arranged.
6. Safety & Liability
By booking a session, you agree that:
You participate at your own risk.
Painted Treasures is not responsible for personal injury, property damage, allergies, or accidents occurring at your home or venue.
Handled products (paints, glazes, tools) should be used according to safety instructions provided during the session.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Painted Treasures, its owners, and employees from all claims arising from your session.
7. Alcohol Service (Pour & Paint Options)
Where offered:
Alcohol may only be served if the venue legally allows it.
Participants must be 18+ in the Province of Alberta.
Customers are responsible for ensuring compliance with local alcohol laws.
Painted Treasures does not serve or pour alcohol; we only provide it as part of a package where allowed.
We reserve the right to refuse alcohol service if safety concerns arise.
8. Travel & Weather
We travel within a 30 km radius of downtown Edmonton Alberta
Severe weather or unsafe conditions may require rescheduling. We appreciate your understanding.
9. Intellectual Property
All images, branding, logos, and content on this website (including photos of our work) are the intellectual property of Painted Treasures and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without permission.
We may take photos of completed pieces for promotional purposes unless you request otherwise in writing.
10. Privacy
Any personal information submitted through our booking form or website is kept confidential and used only to facilitate your service. We do not sell or share information with third parties.
11. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that province.
